Santiago T. Duarte, Esq.

Mr. Duarte received his Bachelors of Business Administration degree with an emphasis on International Business from Loyola Marymount University (LMU), in Los Angeles California. During his time at LMU, Mr. Duarte served as the Vice-President of Corporate Affairs for the Latino Business Association; Executive Board Member of MECha and the President of Lamda Chi Alpha international fraternity. After graduating from LMU, Mr. Duarte enjoyed a successful career as a Corporate Recruiter.

After 10 years as a Corporate Recruiter, Mr. Duarte decided to pursue his passion of becoming an Attorney. Mr. Duarte received his Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School, in Costa Mesa California, with a concentration in Criminal Law and a Certificate in Trial and Appellate Practice. While in law school, Mr. Duarte served as a Board member of the Hispanic-American Law Student Association and the President of the campus Political Association.

During his time at Whittier Law School, Mr. Duarte had the opportunity to serve as the Judicial Extern for the Honorable W. Michael Hayes, Judge of the Superior Court Criminal Division in Orange County; and for the Honorable William M. Monroe, Judge of the Superior Court Civil Division in Orange County. Mr. Duarte further developed his criminal law skills while working as a Certified Law Clerk for the Gang and Sexual Assault Units for the Office of the Orange County District Attorney and studied law abroad in Tolouse, France.

After law school Mr. Duarte worked as an Associate Attorney for the Elden Law Group in Los Angeles California, concentrating in State and Federal criminal defense cases. Mr. Duarte is a member of the State Bar of California and currently practices criminal defense in Federal and State court. Mr. Duarte also practices Immigration Law and several aspects of Civil law, including landlord-tenant and contract law. He is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
